MSG

You’ve heard of a flipped classroom, right?  Flipped classrooms challenge the learner to take the initiative in exploring concepts prior to direct classroom instruction.

Well, before there were flipped classrooms, there were Modular Study Groups.

★★★★★

2 weeks:

Home Exploration

Students encounter the material for the first time.  This instills both initiative and  intellectual curiosity.

★★★★★

1 week:

Classroom Engagement

Students both receive classroom instruction from an experienced and professional instructor as well as perform experiments or complete other group activities.

★★★★★

1 week:

Home Enrichment

Finally, a student will complete the material at home, tying up any loose ends and getting ready

Independent learners

Students are shown how to learn independently, a skill that will not only prepare them for university but also lays a solid foundation for a life-long posture of learning.

Good For Families

Students will only be in class 9 weeks during a year.  This allows for greater flexibility and can promote more familial unity.

Moreover, as we only teach three subjects, families are responsible to oversee the instruction of other courses, like the arts, languages, or national subjects.

Finally, we aim to provide education at an affordable price.

Loving Relationships

At Gateway Academy, we focus on the holistic development of each student.  Small class sizes and a focus on the development of both peer and student-teacher relationships set us apart from other institutions.  Student discipleship is our priority.
